By: Søren Schaffstein

Until 2012-01-13 15:00 you can nominate yourself as a candidate for a position in the TYPO3 Association Expert Advisory Board (EAB) or Business Control Committee (BCC).

The next TYPO3 Association General Assembly (GA) will take place on Saturday, 2012-02-04 (14:00-17:00) in Basel.

As a member of the TYPO3 Association you can nominate yourself for a position in the EAB or BCC. If you want to nominate yourself, please send the following details directly to voting(at)typo3.org:

  • for which body do you nominate yourself? (EAB or BCC? You can nominate yourself for both - but you can not be elected into both bodies!)
  • your full name
  • your email address
  • a portrait picture of yourself
  • a short statement explaining why you are the best choice for this job? (about 3-10 sentences)
  • link to your personal website or a public profile about you on the web (please not your company's website)

The elections are carried out with the TYPO3 Associations Online Voting Tool from 2012-01-15 to 2012-02-01 15:00. All members who are eligible to vote, will receive an email with further instructions on how to proceed and a personal voting token.

The results of the elections will be published during the GA.

If you want to know more about the new structure of the TYPO3 Association and the new bodies (EAB and BCC), please find attached the translation of an article from t3n as PDF. For those who prefer reading in German, you can find the original article on t3n.de: http://t3n.de/magazin/demokratie-wagen-227998/

Until 2012-01-13 15:00? 4 days only to think about it? Why does this news item so late? That's such a shame!

@François: Mario has sent the first mail with an announcement on December 22nd 2011 already to all TYPO3 Association members. Nevertheless it might have been useful to publish a news here sooner.

@Peter: ah ok. I must have missed it. Still it's a pretty short deadline anyway and there indeed could have been a news earlier.
