This Bug Day was originally planned as a bug fixing rush on the TYPO3 4.4 beta 3 version, but it seems that the stars were not so well aligned after all. The focus of the day was finally to push the latest features from T3UXW09 that were still slated for version 4.4: the new BE skin.
This didn't douse the enthusiasm of the participants who reviewed the many patches and follow-ups that were needed to complete the integration of the new skin (designed by Lars Zimmermann), including the use of sprites thanks to the new skinning API. This was no easy task with all the patches that were flying around. Kudos to all for your unwavering commitment.
Three companies offered a place for physical meetings:
Many thanks to them all, this is a real support to the community!
And here are the people who officially participated (if your name doesn't appear, it's because you didn't write your name down in the wiki page):
I didn't have time to check the bug tracker statistics on Saturday to have a snaphsot of last Friday's activity, but over the course of the last week 114 bugs were resolved, with 74 new ones, for a total decrease of 40 bugs. The Bug Day strongly contributed to this, so let's keep it up! The downwards tendency in the number of open bugs is getting stronger all the time (see chart), we're on a very good track.
The next Bug Day will take place on June 25, 2010. Make sure to already write it down in your agenda. If all goes according to plan, TYPO3 4.4 should be out by then, so it should be a true bug-fixing session.
