One of the benefits of bidding high during the auction was to be named in this very news article, so here is a list of the companies sponsoring the bugs as well as the bugs which were fixed:

* American Auction: Style of auction, in which bidders raise by a certain amount which they have to pay regardless of the success; the last bidder wins.
Thanks to all of you!
By the way, the currency of bids was "drinks at the bar", which had a fixed exchange rate of one drink equaling 5 Swiss Francs and could only be spent on the bar at the same night. The total amount of 1130 drinks was split by a ratio of 70% for drinks on the bar at the same night and 30% is going to be used to pay for a core team dinner at the next core team meeting.
Ten out of the total 13 bug fixes were committed later the same night (most of them were no-brainers), one committed about a week later, and another two are still pending in the core list (but we'll promise to fix them until the T3DD09 in May).
Special thanks goes to Peter Niederlag, who moderated the show as Auction Master, and to the developers Patrick, Jochen, Ingo, Olly, Steffen (who attended virtually), Robert, Andi, Karsten, Rupert, Michael, Tobi and Ingmar.
There's also a nice podcast about the bug auction that gives you an impression of what the event was like!
